Dentistry interviews are a part of the admissions process for dental programs. They are designed to assess a candidate's communication skills, knowledge of the dental profession, motivation to pursue a career in dentistry, and personal qualities such as empathy, professionalism, and ethical awareness.
There are lots of ways of preparing for dentistry interviews. One common idea is speaking to a dental student from the university you are applying to. They can support you and give you feedback on what to do well.
Dental applicants can do a variety of things from attending MMI circuits to practicing in front of the mirror, there really is no wrong answer!
Use the General Dental Council principles. These update each year so ensure you stay on top of the changes that occur. You should then integrate GDC principles into your answers for dental interviews.
Each dental school tends to ask a variety of different items however in our experience the most common questions tend to be around motivation for dentistry and also
Boys: Wear a long-sleeved shirt, blazer and formal trousers. Keep facial hair to a minimum and avoid too much gel!
