MMBS Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery is the primary medical qualification awarded by Curtin University and is recognised by the Australian Medical Council The degree has a strong focus on primary care and offers a variety of clinical experiences in rural and metropolitan locations.

Applicants are selected for interview based on the sum of their ATAR and UCAT score ratio 60:40. Applicants are assessed on their academic record where there is the expectation for students to meet the MBBS specific academic standards wIth competency in English and Chemistry. All applicants are required to take the University Clinical Aptitiude Test in the current cycle. Curtin Medical school does not have a cut-off score for the UCAT, students are ranked using the combined score from the subtests. Offers are then made based on these rankings and interview rankings.

N.B. Curtin Medical School are committed to widening participation providing higher education access to those historically or currently disadvantaged. Applicants may be prioritised for the following reasons: indigenous background; long term educational disadvantage, rural or regional aeras. If approved applicants will be granted between 1-5 additional ATAR points with a maximum 99.95.

Non- school leavers are also considered for application.
